Cooking Steps

  • In a large skillet, pour in olive oil and set the heat to medium-high. Let it warm up for about 1-2 minutes until it shimmers.
  • Season chicken pieces with salt and black pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, onion powder, and red pepper flakes until combined.
  • Set cooked chicken aside and reduce heat to low. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour the honey mixture into the skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry, then stir into the simmering sauce until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and serve hot, optionally drizzling extra honey for a sweeter finish.
