For the Pastry

  • 1 package Puff Pastry Thawed for easy rolling

For the Filling

  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Can swap with frozen spinach
  • 1 cup Artichoke Hearts Canned or frozen
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Substitute with nutritional yeast for dairy-free
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Can use vegan cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Vegan mayo is an alternative
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; can use garlic powder
  • to taste Salt & Pepper

For the Finish

  • 1 egg Egg (for wash) A flaxseed egg can be used for vegan

How to Make Spinach Artichoke Puff Pastry Swirls

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Mix together chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, parmesan cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Prepare the puff pastry by cutting it in half and spreading the spinach and artichoke mixture on one half.
  • Layer the second half of the puff pastry on top, pressing down to seal the edges.
  • Slice the pastry into six strips, twisting each strip to form spirals and tucking the ends under.
  • Brush the swirls with an egg wash for a glossy finish.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider making the filling a day ahead. Serve with garlic aioli or marinara sauce for dipping.
