  • Whisk Together: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • Add Color: Gradually fold in the red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.
  • Combine the Mixtures: Mix the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until just combined.
  • Sift Dry Ingredients: Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Fold in Dry Ingredients: Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until no dry streaks remain.
