Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons)
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 cup filtered water

Instructions

  1. Wash and juice the lemons until you have one cup of fresh lemon juice.
  2. Peel and grate the ginger finely using a microplane.
  3. In a blender, combine lemon juice, grated ginger, turmeric, honey or maple syrup, and water. Blend until smooth.
  4. Strain if desired to remove pulp, then pour the mixture into ice cube trays or shot molds.
  5. Freeze for at least four hours until solid. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.
