Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pans with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in buttermilk and butterscotch sauce until smooth.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just blended. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
  7. For frosting, beat together powdered sugar, softened butter, heavy cream, and butterscotch sauce until fluffy. Frost cooled cupcakes.
