  • 6 cups sourdough bread, cubed
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut the sourdough bread into one-inch cubes; if fresh, let sit for an hour to dry slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Place the bread cubes in the greased dish and pour the custard mixture over them, gently tossing to coat. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  5. Optionally sprinkle additional cinnamon on top. Bake for 45 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
