Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese until melted into a smooth sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  5. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet with drained fettuccine. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley if desired.
