  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in red food coloring and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually blend dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough, roll in powdered sugar, and place on baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until crinkled on top but soft inside. Let cool on wire racks before enjoying.
