  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the diced bell peppers and pizza sauce; mix well.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the meat mixture and fold in half of the cheese.
  6. Transfer everything into the prepared baking dish, top with the remaining cheese, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
