  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, orange juice, and zest until fully combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the baked crust. Return to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until set but slightly wobbly in the center.
  5. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
