  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (15 oz) coconut cream
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut, divided
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, eggs, and water according to package directions. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly.
  4. Poke holes throughout the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  5. In a bowl, combine coconut cream and half of the shredded coconut; pour over the cake.
  6. In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth; spread over the cake.
  7. Top with remaining shredded coconut before serving.
