  • 1 store-bought or homemade pie crust
  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers (any color), chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and bell peppers to the skillet; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sausage-veggie mixture with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and half of the cheese.
  5. Roll out one pie crust in the baking dish; pour the filling evenly over it. Top with another pie crust or create a lattice design.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Serve warm.
