  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 medium shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms and shallots until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Season beef with salt and pepper; sear in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned but not cooked through. Let cool slightly.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into squares large enough to wrap each piece of beef.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard on each beef piece, top with sautéed mushrooms, then wrap in pastry.
