  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted, plus more for brushing)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  3. Combine the frothy yeast mixture with melted butter and mix into dry ingredients until a slightly sticky dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl covered with plastic wrap in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, divide it into approximately 12 equal pieces, roll into balls, and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Mix remaining melted butter with minced garlic; brush over each roll and allow to rise for another 20 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
