  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onions and sauté until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Stir in the beef broth and thyme, then simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into circles that fit muffin tins.
  5. Place pastry circles in the muffin tin, fill each with the onion mixture, and top generously with Gruyère cheese.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
