  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup popping candy

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in chocolate chips and popping candy.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
