  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly; add cold water to form a dough.
  2. 2. Roll out the dough to fit a tart pan. Press into the edges, trim excess, and poke holes with a fork.
  3. 3. Blind bake for 15 minutes with weights; remove weights and bake uncovered for another 5 minutes until golden.
  4. 4. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together. Gradually stir in eggnog, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt until blended.
  5. 5. Pour the filling into the baked crust and bake for 30-35 minutes until just set but slightly jiggly.
  6. 6. Allow cooling before serving warm or chilled with whipped cream.
