  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz each)
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes; drain any excess fat.
  3. Add bell peppers and onions to the skillet; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine quartered biscuit dough, meat mixture, pizza sauce, and half of the cheese; mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
