Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in both sugars until combined, allowing to cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
  4. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt in another bowl. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish, drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over it, pour remaining brownie mix on top, and swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached. Let cool before slicing into squares.
