  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until combined. Mix into dry ingredients until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. For frosting, cream butter and gradually mix in cocoa powder and powdered sugar. Add heavy cream to reach desired consistency.
