  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk until steaming. Add the Earl Grey tea bags and dried lavender; steep for 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time while mixing.
  5. Remove tea bags from milk and gradually mix it into the butter-sugar mixture. Slowly add dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before frosting.
  7. For frosting, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until fluffy; pipe onto cooled cupcakes.
