  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (100g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder (40g)
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts (140g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, along with the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour and cocoa powder, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently stir in chopped hazelnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
