  • 8 oz Emmental Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dry white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the halved garlic clove.
  2. In a bowl, mix Gruyère and Emmental cheeses with cornstarch until well combined.
  3. Pour wine into the pot and heat over medium until simmering; stir in lemon juice.
  4. Gradually add cheese mixture while stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
  5. Season with black pepper to taste and serve immediately with an assortment of dippables.
