  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, and cold water until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate batter into the baking dish. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over it and then add the remaining chocolate batter on top.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts and chocolate chips over the cake.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Cool slightly before serving.
