  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 6 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup maple syrup (plus extra for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until bubbly (about 5 minutes). Add sugar and salt, then gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter on top, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and crumbled bacon. Drizzle bourbon over the filling.
  4. Roll the dough tightly into a log; cut into 12 slices and place in a greased baking dish. Allow them to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with maple syrup mixed with more bourbon before serving.
