Instructions

  1. Thoroughly rinse and dry the apples; insert wooden skewers into the tops for handles.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water over medium heat. Stir until dissolved; then boil until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C).
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding gel food coloring; stir until fully combined.
  4. Dip each apple into the candy mixture, swirling to coat evenly. Allow excess candy to drip off before placing them on parchment paper.
  5. While still warm, gently press cotton candy fluff onto the top of each apple.
  6. Let the apples cool completely on parchment paper before serving.
